The first Ambedkar Talent Search Examination was held in the year 2021, the year when the world was resuming to run at full throttle after long period of lockdown due to Covid Pandemic. More than six hundred fifty students of fifth to ninth class participated in the examination held on December 26, 2021 under the initiative of Ambedkar Janajagarani Samiti and Tapashili Teachers Forum. The Exam consisting of total 100 marks MCQ type Questions covered the conventional class-based syllabus with Dr. Ambedkar's life. A total of 100 marks MCQ exam is conducted covering the life and work of Ambedkar. The result of Ambedkar Talent Search Examination (2021) was declared on 26th January, 2022. The first runner-up Soumjit Sardar was nominated for the “Babasaheb Ambedkar Award”, the second runner-up Lucky Mondal for the “Savitribai Phule Award” and the third runner-up Papadi Naiya for the “Eklavya Award” based on the highest marks among the candidates of all categories in this examination. The 2nd Ambedkar Talent Search Examination (ATSE) :- “Ambedkar Medha Anweshan Pariksha – 2022” was held on the 18th December, 2022. Across the state, more than 6200 students of class V to IX participated in the examination at 53 centres in more than 12 Districts of West Bengal under the initiative of Ambedkar Janajagarani Samiti and Tapashili Teachers Forum.Out of total 100 marks, 20 MCQ type questions of one mark each were dedicatedly on life and works of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The rest 80 MCQ type questions of one mark each were on class-based syllabus. According to the organisers, students from all walks of life have participated in this exam in the 2nd year just like the first year.
The Ambedkar Talent Search Examination (ATSE) wishes to make arrangements so that the students of every district of West Bengal can participate in the Ambedkar merit search test in the coming year. The Ambedkar Talent Search Examination (ATSE) envisages every little mind to glitter with the warmth of empathy to the oppressed following the essence of the Constitution of India, our beloved Motherland.
